Ministry Team Meeting Thu 8am in the Canteen

We’re TEDxYouthPaparangi, an independently organised event by youth, for youth, aiming to amplify the voices of young people in our community. Our team is pleased to announce our event date, the 18th of September is being hosted at Newlands College in Wellington. This year's theme is “Rewrite the Narrative”, aiming to break generational cycles, redefine success and reframe stereotypes. We have 8 speakers, each with insightful, and inspirational topics relating to our theme in unique ways. With general ticket sales finally opening, we really want to reach passionate students in our community and give them the opportunity to attend our inspirational event. General Admission tickets are now on sale for $20. Come along to see some amazing speeches, interact with the diverse booths, and enjoy some amazing food!

Year 11-13

• Senior derived exams start on Thursday 12 September and finish at the end of Tuesday 17 September.
• You must be in winter uniform for exams.
• If coming into study or see your teacher please wear non-uniform and sign in at the office and sign out when you leave.
• Stick to our bell times for morning tea and lunch.
• No playing outside when Year 7-10 classes are in period classes. 
• You may study in the library, canteen or at the back of a teacher's room with their permission.

Year 13 Leavers Dinner - Wednesday 30 October 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Mass at Sacred Heart church Petone followed by dinner at 6.45pm at the Kensington Restaurant, Workingmen's club, Udy Street, Petone. $40 per person. Parents are welcome. Emails have been sent.

Year 12 Retreat is coming soon, Thursday the 19th of September!

What do you need to know?

• Don't wear uniform that day
• It starts at 5pm sharp in the Chapel
• Store any bedding/cardboard boxes in your RE classroom
• You are released to go home the next morning at 8am

NCEA - Senior Derived Grade Exams - until Friday 20 September our Senior students (and a number of Y10 students) are sitting examinations in the D block (as well as C1 and C2). All other students need to stay away from this area. Please keep noise levels to a minimum during this important time.
